TOKO has been delivering quality products to the outdoor market for more than 90 years.
TOKO® eco is a world-first combination of per- formance and environmental compatibility. Three key factors:
1. RAW MATERIALS
TOKO works in close cooperation with leading chemicals manufacturers. This allows us to immediately test the effectiveness of our raw materials. Our key selection criteria include environmental sustainability, biodegradability and the use of renewable raw materials, combined with innovation.
2. PRODUCTION
Products are manufactured under ISO-compliant conditions in Switzerland to ensure the process is easy on the environment. Our production facilities have their own wastewater treatment plant, plus steam generators and exhaust air compressors for energy recovery. All our Care Line products are manufactured to energy-saving specifications without the input of heat.
3. TRANSPORTATION
Production takes place in Switzerland to avoid lengthy shipping transits. We also keep transport movements to a minimum by operating large storage and logistics capacities. What’s more, the packaging materials we use are largely sourced from Swiss suppliers.

All TOKO® eco products are bluesign®-certified. This independent and internationally recognized quality certification programme conducts regu- lar audits of our manufacturing chain, testing it for environmental compatibility and responsible stewardship of natural resources. TOKO® ECO WASH – SUPERIOR PER- FORMANCE AND ENVIRONMENTAL CREDENTIALS
The new TOKO® eco detergents combine the cleansing action of a functional textile detergent with the environmental compatibility of an eco- detergent.

TOKO® ECO PROOFING SPRAYS – SAFE AND ECOLOGICAL
Fluoride-free TOKO® Eco Proof is a lot more convenient to use than other fluoride-free proof- ing products due to its advanced formulation and ultra-fine mist pump-action sprayer. TOKO® Eco Proof products are designed especially for functional textiles and footwear and guarantee dependable wet-weather protection without impairing breathability.

All TOKO Care products are 100% PFOS- and PFOA-free.
Perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) and perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) belong to the group of perfluorinated surfactants (PFT). These substances have come under criticism due to the fact that they do not degrade in the environment and have not been studied sufficiently in terms of their toxicology.
In the media discussion of this very complex topic, fluorocarbon-based impregnates have often wrongly been named as the source of these substances. The fact is that PFOS and PFOA are not used at all for the impregnation of textiles. They merely occur in minute quantities as a by-product in the production of fluorine-containing impregnating agents.
For all fluorine-containing impregnations, TOKO uses exclusively raw materials that are based on environmentally friendly C6 fluorochemicals. Contamination by PFOS and PFOA is not possible with these raw materials and unwanted by-products can be ruled out. All TOKO Care products are thus 100% PFOS- and PFOA-free.
For its fluorine-free Eco Proof products, TOKO uses a silicone-based agent that is also completely PFOS- and PFOA-free. TOKO even goes a step further and has all Eco products tested by the external certification authority Bluesign. All TOKO detergents, Eco impregnations and shoe creams are approved by Bluesign. They are biodegradable and free from environmentally harmful substances.
