One hundred thousand spectators came to Holmenkollen to see the expected thrilling triple-header between Bjoergen, Kowalczyk and Johaug who are the best athletes of this season.

Today German biathlete Arnd Peiffer achieved his first victory at the world championships during at the 10km sprint in Khanty-Mansiysk (Russia). He won the gold medal while the strong competitors Martin Fourcade (France) won silver and Tarjei Boe (Norway) bronze.
