Therese Johaug is being informed about her headstart
The ultimate discipline for the women is the 30km. And if the race is in Norway there is nothing better to cross-country skiing. One hundred thousand spectators came to Holmenkollen to see the expected thrilling triple-header between Bjoergen, Kowalczyk and Johaug who are the best athletes of this season.
The favorites set the pace from the beginning. Therese Johaug set an impressive attack in the middle of the race and was carried by a wave of emotions to the finish line after leaving her two persecuters behind. Marit Bjoergen beat Justyna Kowalczyk again and won the silver medal.
