Tour de Ski, Mass Start Classic

Today’s eagerly awaited mass start race offered everything a cross-country skiing enthusiast could wish for. In the men’s event, the Norwegian superstar Petter Northug launched his promised catch up bid, winning the race and taking all 5 bonus sprints.
In the lead, Switzerland’s Dario Cologna came in second in each test, still comfortably ahead by more than a minute in the overall standing.
Tomorrow will see the difficult final ascent to Alpe Chermis, with a gradient of 28% in places.

This year's Tour de Ski is over. In the lead from the beginning, Olympic winner, Switzerland’s Dario Cologna, made no concessions on the final day and took victory in style, in front of superstar Petter Northug from Norway. Two-time Tour winner Lukas Bauer launched an incredible catch up bid. storming from 10th to 3rd place in the overall standing with the absolute best time of the day. Once again the weather played an important role, with very changeable conditions over the 10 days of the tour.

At the Biathlon World Cup in America, our sponsored German biathletes once again demonstrated world class performance.
Andrea Henkel won a total of 3 races, putting her in the lead in the overall World Cup. After three podium places in succession, Magdalena Neuner, double Olympic winner in Vancouver, claimed her second victory of the season, putting her in third place closely behind Finland’s Kaisa Mäkäränen.

Today the first distance race with the pursuit of 2x 7.5km for the women took place. After half time Bjoergen, Johaug and Kowalczyk were the top flight and one of them would win the race.
