Verbier Speed Race

The Austrian double ski world champion Markus Münzer is the fastest champion in the history of the ÖSV! 4 Years ago he set the record with 179,81 km/h which he upgraded to an incredible speed of 192,86 km/h. With his serial production downhill equipment, which is also used in the alpine ski world cup, he outclassed and overwhelmed his competitors.
He also won the final race, the famous Masters (equal to a Tennis Grand-Slam Tournament) for the seventh time. He won unchallenged and with an impressive speed of 181, 79 Km/h.
Unfortunately this year a world record attempt fell through again. The reason was an avalanche in Vars (France). Nevertheless he is planning to defend his title in two years again and therefore is motivated at best for the preparation for the upcoming season.
