Cleaning the base

Before waxing, and after repairing the base and sharpening, the next step is to clean the base surface. Remove any dirt, metal or klister residue that may have adhered to the base of the ski.

Spray on wax remover.

Rub off using Base Tex. Wait a short time for the wax remover to take effect and then rub the wax off thoroughly using a cleaning cloth.
Tip: After using wax remover, leave the base to dry for around 15 minutes. It is then ready for waxing.
