World Cup — 25 Jan 2019

The legendary downhill race in Kitzbuehel known as the Streif was brought forward by one day due to the bad weather forecast for Saturday.

The difficult conditions on the track - icy in the technical sections and new snow in the sliding parts - created many problems for both athletes and technicians. Dominik Paris, already winner of the Bormio downhill, confirmed his excellent condition by also winning today ahead of the Swiss Beat Feuz with 20/100. Third place went to the Austrian Otmar Striedinger.

Tomorrow is the slalom and on Sunday the super-g.
