Der Weisse Ring

The right wax makes the difference

You’re probably perfectly prepared: your training kilometers are in your legs, your technique and fitness are on point, and the excitement is already there.
But there’s one crucial factor you may have underestimated: your equipment.

Well-prepared skis make all the difference – for recreational skiers as well as ambitious racers. Especially in the glide section right after the start at Rüfikopf, the wheat is separated from the chaff. While some seem to effortlessly glide past their competitors, others wonder how that’s possible, even though they are actually fitter and better trained.

So which group do you belong to?

Bestens vorbereitet an den Start

Over 22 km and 5,500 meters of elevation gain, from Lech through Zürs, Zug and Oberlech, spectacular descents and demanding sections await you. And it’s not just your fitness that counts – your equipment plays a decisive role too. That’s exactly where Toko comes in.

Ski wax ensures that an extremely thin film of water forms between the ski base and the snow. This film is what allows your ski to glide. If it doesn’t build up properly, the ski will feel like it’s “sticking”.

Regular waxing and continuous care keep the base permanently saturated and deliver noticeably better glide. A well-maintained, fully saturated ski simply performs best – it’s half the battle won. Find out here why, how, and what it takes to get your equipment race-ready well in advance.
