With no fewer than five exciting competitions over two days, the Gommerlauf is once again an absolute highlight in the cross-country skiing calendar this year. After the Continental Cup took place in December and the World Cup premiere in January, the event is the third major cross-country skiing race in the region this winter. The varied competition program starts with the Gommer Classic over 21 kilometers, which opens the race weekend. The route leads from the Nordic Center in Goms towards Münster, then back past Ulrichen to Oberwald and finally down the valley back to the finish. In the afternoon, the Goms free technique race follows over the same 21-kilometer course. Youngsters compete in the Swiss Biathlon Cup before the marathon on Sunday morning promises to be the highlight of the weekend.
